In a post-COVID world, Americans have learned creative ways had to interact with each other. Social distancing measures and lockdowns made it difficult for people to gather and socialize in large groups. Even now, four years on from the pandemic, some Americans still maintain safe measures when socializing and gathering with others.

BJ and Ticia from Cumming, Georgia have found a unique way to keep their family and friends entertained post pandemic by engaging in things to do at home. They've opened their home to family and friends for self-catered gatherings. This allows them to control the environment and ensure everyone stays safe while still having fun. The southern hospitality they were taught while growing up in Goldsboro, North Carolina is still very much alive - just in a slightly different form.

BJ and Ticia hired Chef Allen, who recently moved to Atlanta from Denver, to cater one of their home gatherings. Chef Allan caters hibachi cuisine in the Atlanta Georgia metroplex area. He loves the interactive element of cooking, and his lively personality and cooking antics keep guests engaged and entertained.

Since the start of the pandemic, mobile businesses like Chef Allen's have seen a huge surge in popularity. In fact, according to Forbes.com, Jim Vinoski wrote that food trailers and food venders are poised to be a big winner post covid. “People are looking for safe ways to socialize and have fun, and mobile catering offers just that” says Allen.

As we continue to navigate the post-COVID world, it's clear that Americans will continue to find new and innovative ways to stay connected and entertained. Whether it's hosting self-catered events or hiring a mobile chef, people are finding safe ways to still engage with their loved ones. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many to become more self-sufficient and creative, and these changes may have long-term impacts on how we socialize and entertain ourselves.
