College Planning Made Easy Expert Advice from Dr. Latonya Bunch, School Counselor Extraordinaire

As high school students prepare for their senior year, many may feel overwhelmed by the prospect of planning for college and their future. That's where Dr. Latonya Bunch, a dedicated school counselor at Ola High School in McDonough GA, comes in. With over 16 years of experience helping students with social and mental issues, Dr. Bunch is also an expert in preparing students for college.

Dr. Bunch believes strongly in guiding students towards all the available options to fund their education, including scholarships, grants, and government loans. "I take pride in preparing students to reach the next level of their education, and with the amount of free money today's students can qualify for, it is imperative that they use all the options available,” she says.

When college isn't the right option for some students, Dr. Bunch recommends considering the military. She explains that this can be a great starting point for students to learn career skills, discipline, and integrity that will help them with life lessons that prepare them for adulthood.

Courney Bizzell, a graduate of Goldsboro High School in North Carolina and now a senior at UNC Greensboro, highlights the impact Dr. Bunch had on her college preparation process. "Having someone who has been through the difficult paperwork and steps to receive scholarships helped me secure funds for school," says Bizzell.

As students and parents begin the college planning process, Dr. Bunch encourages them to seek out guidance from student advisors and college providers. By taking advantage of these resources, students can ensure they are on the right path to graduation and achieving their academic goals. Remember, each one teaches one when it comes to shaping the minds of today’s youth. Taking the time to seek out guidance from experts like Dr. Bunch will undoubtedly help students achieve success for years to come.
