Yusuf Pridgen was always passionate about athletics. He grew up surrounded by athletes, coached Little League football, and even worked for a photography company in charge of their athletic department. With this extensive background, it was no surprise when an idea emerged in 2017 to create a company that would help people become their best selves through fitness and athletics, and thus Bios Athletics was born.

As the CEO of the company, Yusuf wanted Bios Athletics to be more than just a fitness brand; he wanted to inspire people to Believe In One Self and their own unique journeys. That's why the company's name is a double entendre, meaning both "biography" and "belief in oneself." Bios Athletics offers athletic and athleisure wear, but what makes the brand truly special is its emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

The company's logo, featuring levelled lines and paces shorter and longer than others, symbolizes that everyone's journey and pace is unique. Whether someone is just starting their fitness journey or aiming to improve their personal best, Bios Athletics is there to support them every step of the way.

Bios Athletics is not interested in competing with other major athletic brands like Nike or Adidas; instead, they strive to be a distinctive and inclusive addition to the industry. As a small black-owned business, they offer the same quality products as their competitors but prioritize providing their customers with a personalized experience and authentic community.

In the future, Bios Athletics hopes to expand its partnerships with other universities, including HBCUs, and offer a wide range of sports uniforms for every athletic activity. With Yusuf's passion and dedication, it's clear that Bios Athletics is poised for success, paving the way for a new generation of inclusive and empowering athletic companies.
